The city of Kas is a located among the vertical towering Cliffs. Kas is located in the Province of Antalya, it is the second major resort town in that region. Kas does not have a great looking beach coast line it does have a serious looking rocky coastline that actually creates an easy access to the very clear and the very blue and unpolluted Mediterranean waters. There are so many outdoor activities and a great nightlife that you won’t be bored.

You can take a glass bottom boat ride into the sunken cities around the Kekova Island where remains of a mysterious civilization can been seen from just below the water’s surface and you can arrange visits to the other archeological sites located at Demre, Myra and the Xanthos Valley. The town is actually built around the ancient remains of the Antiphellos. The Hellenistic Theatre remains are not too far away. You can also visit the Monumental Lion’s Tomb and some other hillside rock tombs that are scattered all over town.

Kas was once a fishing village many years ago and though it has since been turned into a tourist town you can still see some small town ambiance through the narrow cobbled streets and the boutique shops that align the village. Many of these resort towns were once fishing villages or residential villages way back when. These days it is more profitable to turn a little tourism into a lot of money.
