Turkey is one up and coming vacation hot spot. When you think of Turkey you may think of a hostile country where they are all desert and have very little to offer. But it is the complete opposite. Turkey is a great industrial country. They are apart of the G20, the G20 which is the top 20 countries who have the best economies. Turkey is very much like Canada or the United States; they are very industrious and have many things to offer the rest of the world. They have beaches, religious mosques, historical buildings, ruins and they have many islands in the Aegean Sea that you can take day trips to and relax on their beaches,
Before traveling to another country, ask your local airport if there are any restrictions or any type of documentation you have to bring when entering Turkey. They may have custom restrictions and regulations. You can even call the airport in Turkey, they will have someone who speaks your language so you can get the questions you need answered and there will be no missed information because you are getting your information form the country directly.
Make sure when traveling abroad that you do not use cash, take American Express Travelers Checks, if they get lost or stolen, they will replace them at the local office. Try to keep your valuables to a minimum when traveling, especially to a foreign country. The rooms in the hotels have safes but you never know. Also when traveling, don’t travel alone. If you are traveling with friends, and you meet someone never meet that person alone. Meet them in a public place with your friends and always leave your cell charged and always leave it on.
If you and your friends do go site seeing or are lying out on the beach, always be aware of your surroundings. Try to leave your valuables in your room. If you are going to the beach ask the front desk to hold your hotel key for you. This way you won’t lose it and someone can’t steal it. You want to have fun but you also want to be safe. A foreign country where you may stand out as a tourist, you don’t want to stand out as a target.
There are so many great things to see in each city of Turkey. You want to have the best experience you can because how many chances are you going to get and go to Turkey. Probably not many, especially you live here in North America. So make sure you know how to protect your self and keep an eye on your friends and everyone can have a good time. This advices carries out to both men and women, women especially because in places like Turkey women are not regarded as well as they are in countries like Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. You don’t want to be a statistic.
